In the company of others, experience the thrill (with a little bit of effort), of watching forms rise from your fingertips. If you are already skilled at centering clay, join us to refine your technique and personal style!
Clay, Hand-Building Techniques
Release your inner muse! Full-time clay artist, John Cheer, will teach a step-by-step slab technique to create an ocarina that really plays or a professional-looking box. OR … receive guidance on a handbuilt clay project of your own design and any technique of your choice. This class will also cover simple sculpting techniques to create flowers and faces. I have been awarded $250 matter award, What a wonderful show! Beautiful layout, plenty of booth space and the organization are very sincere towards the artists, they understand the financial difficulties of the artists, they have kept the space admission fee low, and everything they can do to make us welcome they even gave out water and a snacks during the show, thank's!
