Out in the universe, there are two common elements - fire and ice. Left side is fire. Right side is ice. From these two extreme elements, there is a birth of something beautiful.
I use the female figure as a representation of organic life form -- as she rises from the ash, there is an ever-changing metamorphosis within her. Therefore, I use copper wire to suggest butterfly.
The marbles are the birthing of new planets. But… Planet and Universe are empty without organic life. The tail at the bottom of the plate represents the beginning of life form.
“She” is the audience, the appreciator of the beauty of the universe, even as she herself evolves.
